Blast Resistant Remote Instrument Enclosures

 

We build remote instrument enclosures (RIEs) to your specifications, from 1 psi to 16 psi, with all the amenities you could ask for. We can furnish UPS systems and batteries, eyewash stations, Marshalling cabinets with sliding doors, patch panels, fiber-optics, Emergency Shutdown panels, and much, much more.

 

The RIE displayed on the left is built to withstand an overpressure of 13.8 psi with a blast wave duration of 50 ms and a wind speed up to 175 mph. It is integrated with DCS, SIS, and AIS equipment by Invensys and Bently Nevada equipment. This RIE has an I/O capacity of 2,200, is integrated with built-in, fully equipped marshalling cabinets with sliding doors for ease of operation, and is designed with separate rooms with security entry key-coded lock. The RIE is secured with custom-built, bast resistant, 600 lbs. doors with heavy-duty, electrically-operated closures. This type of RIE can withstand a Seismic Zone 4 earthquake or a Category 5 hurricane.
